Fox Lawson & Associates Will Conduct A Comprehensive Pay Study for Mecklenburg County

Fox Lawson & Associates has been engaged by Mecklenburg County to conduct a comprehensive pay and
classification study of all positions. The county is interested in replacing the Hay system and moving to a
broad banded pay system. The study will compare market competitive compensation levels to the salaries of current
employee salaries. Comparisons will be made to other counties, cities and private sector organizations in the
southeastern US. The study will also involve an analysis of alternative reward systems.
